Hi there. I’m Harris.

I’m a graduate of Columbia University, and specialize in college applications, advanced test prep, and tutoring K-12 students at every level.

I’ve been a full-service tutor for over seven years, and have helped countless students from across the country improve their grades and attend their dream schools.

My Philosophy

If you’re here, chances are your family is a little overwhelmed. The barrage of exams, projects, and assignments seems never-ending. And your student is struggling to keep up, let alone truly absorb the actual concepts being taught. You’re not alone.

I don’t give homework. I don’t work from a lesson plan. My goal is simple: make sure every student is not just confident in their understanding, but genuinely excited about what they’re learning.

I adapt to the unique needs of your student to deliver high quality instruction, combined with innovative organizational and test prep strategies, to achieve meaningful results.

Coursework Tutoring

Whether it’s your student’s first math class, a chemistry lab, or a terrifying slate of Junior Year APs — I will supplement your child’s teacher, and tailor my instruction to fill in the gaps.

Test & College Prep

Need to bump those standardized test scores? I train students to recognize patterns in Multiple Choice Exams, and beat the test writers at their own game. We improve reading speed, comprehension, and foundational math knowledge at every level.

Applying to College? Write an essay that blows people away. I help each student present themselves in a unique and memorable way, without falling into the common traps of predictable writing.

Organization & Communication Strategies

What I’d like to call: putting it all together. I specialize in teaching students with ADHD, and those with learning or processing difficulties. We cover every aspect of being a successful student, and work together to find consistent strategies to stay organized and prepared.

It’s a priority for me that every student I work with becomes a more confident communicator. With their teachers, their families, and ultimately themselves. Part of this work involves making students more creative and effective writers, which is a personal passion of mine.
